Puma's global ambassador The Weeknd has launched his first collection with the brand. As their creative consultant, the weeknd is set to launch an entire collection, presented in three parts.

The first, glimpsed last week, is a military inspired sneaker. The utilitarian design in cream white, olive green among other colors, in rich Italian nubuck leather, is the ultimate example of street wear 2017. A mixture of styles embody this particular shoe taking from Yeezy, Puma's own designs among others. The year has seen many sneaker releases, as well as collabs with popular personalities, and a sleek, clean, design has been the most noticeable choice. Perhaps it's ability, to compliment any wardrobe choice has made this style everyone's immediate "go to". Named the Parallel, to signify the Weeknd's XO albums theme, it compliments the singers lifestyle.

The Weeknd plans to release an array of items with Puma in denim, leather and suede. Going with his own street wear favourites and what his own day to day wardrobe, the collection is set to include bomber jackets, boots, and even a kimono in camouflage print. In a press release the Weeknd said, "We've been building the XO brand for a long time now. It's gone beyond product and the Puma x XO collab is an extension of everything we've been doing. For XO, partnering with a powerhouse like Puma and having the ability to create a new aesthetic is an amazing opportunity"The ad campaign was shot in Marfa, Texas featuring the singer, in casual looks alongside model Dilone, with views of the Texas terrain. "He had a strong idea about what footwear should look like if it was put through The Weeknd's filter" said Adam Patrick, Puma's global director. The 'sneaker boot' is a combination of both styles, making it an ideal look for all seasons. Priced at $220, the sneakers release on 8/24.
